Request the Department of Justice Reinstate Its Motion on Transgender Students Rights:

I am a constituent from Santa Cruz County, zip code 95___. I don't need a response. Please ask the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Attorney General Jeff Sessions to reinstate its motion in an ongoing lawsuit over bathroom rights for transgender students in public schools. Texas and 12 other states filed the lawsuit last year challenging guidance set under President Obama that directed public schools to allow transgender students to use bathrooms and locker rooms consistent with their gender identity. The DOJ recently asked to withdraw the motion filed last year, that asked a judge to scale back a temporary injunction blocking President Obama's guidance. I feel strongly the DOJ should reinstate the motion and ask you to request that they do so. Thank you and your staff for your hard work and representation.
